TO BEGIN YOUR PERSONAL WALK WITH JESUS
FOLLOW THESE STEPS:
1. Admit that you are a sinner and that you are lost without Jesus.
U "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
U "There is none righteous, no, not one." (Romans 3:10)
U "But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags..." (Isaiah 64:6a)
U "All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all." (Isaiah 53:6)
2. Realize that God's law requires a penalty be paid for sin.
U "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
U The soul who sins shall die. (Ezekiel 18:4b)
3. Accept the fact that Jesus paid the penalty for your sins.
U "...Christ died for our sins in according to the Scriptures..." (1 Corinthians 15:3b)
U "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." (2 Corinthians 5:21)
U "who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree..." (1 Peter 2:24a)
4. Believe in Jesus.
U "...believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household." (Acts 16:31)
U "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
U "That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation." (Romans 10:9,10)
5. Repent (turn away from) of your sins.
U "But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish." (Luke 13:3)
U "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out..." (Acts 3:19)
U "He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy." (Proverbs 28:13)
6. Receive Jesus
U "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become the children of God, even to those who believe in His name." (John 1:12)
U "Behold, I ( Jesus ) stand at the door ( of your heart ) and knock, if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him ( spiritually ) and he with Me." (Revelation 3:20)
